Hiring an Associate Veterinarian or Graduating Vet Student

 

Miller Animal Hospital is a small, privately-owned, companion animal clinic located outside of Albany, New York. The clinic has been a long standing animal hospital in the community, with some clientele staying with us for over 40 years! We have other clients that travel over an hour to get their pets seen by our dedicated and caring veterinarians. We take pride in what we provide at Miller Animal Hospital and we are looking to add a passionate individual to our staff. 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Full-time, NYS Licensed Veterinary with 1+ years of experience
  • Vet student in their last semester or in the process of acquiring licensure. Mentorship available to support candidate success.
  • Passionate professional that can triage animal condition, provide and coordinate patient care within a hospital team, and efficiently document SOAP notes.
  • Task-oriented, able to properly research animal care, review laboratory results, and effectively communicate patient care plans to pet owners.
  • Desire for improving skills and being a lifelong learner.
  • Follows standard OSHA and cleaning protocols.
  • Must be comfortable providing care to a variety of cat and dog breeds.
  • Experience with Avimark software is a plus!

  • 4 day work week, with no weekends, no nights.

Salary: $90k+/year based on experience and abilities.

 

The Albany/Troy area has plenty to offer, with a vibrant downtown area and expansive shopping locations. Great outdoor options with the Adirondack and Catskill mountains surrounding the area. NYC and Boston are both under 3 hours away for a fun trip!

 

Traveling to the clinic? We have staff specific parking and a CDTA Bus Stop in front of our building.

Hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician or Graduating Student

What we are looking for:

  • Full Time, Licensed Veterinary Technician, with or without experience.
  • Student in their last semester of a vet tech program or in the process of acquiring vet tech licensure.
  • Strong communication skills for client education and customer service.
  • Ability to support surgeries, dental care, and triage cases throughout a work day.
  • Demonstrates proper animal handling and care. Must be comfortable providing care to a variety of cat and dog breeds.
  • Follows standard OSHA and cleaning protocols.
  • Experience with Avimark software is a plus!

Salary Range: $20-$30/hr based experience and ability.
